Fort Worth restaurants in January 2026 — best bites, openings, closings, updates

From souffle pancakes to wagyu brisket, there are too many good eats in Fort Worth.

Though it can feel like there are more restaurants closing than opening, the fast-growing culinary landscape in North Texas offers residents a lot to chose from. And luckily, there has already been lots of good restaurant news in January.

For example, the Star-Telegram checked out an Asian-Mexican fusion restaurant and the West 7th Entertainment District got its fix of a new Irish Pub. Here’s what else happened during the last month in Fort Worth restaurant news.
