Beacon Cafe 287, known for its under $20 brunch, losing its lease soon
Beacon Cafe 287 at 12721 Business Hwy 287 in Fort Worth, announced they will lose their lease early next year.
“After surviving the pandemic and everything this tough economy has thrown at us, this news hit especially hard,” wrote Chef Christie Bingham in a Facebook post. “The truth is, we’ve been running on fumes just trying to hang on, pouring everything we have into keeping the doors open and our amazing team working.”
The first Beacon Cafe opened in Saginaw at Hicks Airfield in 2011. In 2019, the restaurant moved into Fort Worth at its current location.
Beacon Cafe 287 is known for its $20 and under brunch buffet. But previously, Chef Bingham was popular for her hamburgers and sandwiches from her past diners.

Where will Beacon Cafe 287 move to?
Unfortunately, Chef Bingham does not know where the cafe will be next, as the landlord gave the restaurant only 45 days to move out. So, she’s called on the community to help the cafe out.
“If you know of a potential space, have connections that could help, or just want to show your support by coming in to eat, spreading the word, or offering ideas, it would mean the world to us,” Bingham wrote.
More than 60 comments flooded in with locals suggesting vacant spaces and neighborhoods where Beacon may thrive.
Some suggest Bingham goes back to her roots in Saginaw while others threw around the Decatur or Haslet and Avondale areas. No one suggested staying in Fort Worth proper (unless it was near the Bonds Ranch Road neighborhoods).
When will Beacon Cafe move?
Beacon Cafe 287 is set to move in 45 days which would mean the end of January.
To help Beacon Cafe see another day past their lease’s end, locals can still dine on Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They are also accepting Christmas tamales orders – Half dozen for $10.99, dozen for $18.99. Customers can order on their website for pickup.
