Drive-thru salad chain closes all Texas and Oklahoma locations

Say goodbye to the convenience of drive-thru salads from Salad and Go.

The chain is closing all 32 of its Texas and Oklahoma restaurants. The Phoenix based chain sells salads, bowls, wraps, soups and snacks, offering a healthier fast food alternative. After the closing of all Texas and Oklahoma stores, 70 restaurants will operate in Arizona and Nevada.

This news follows the abrupt closing of 41 Salad and Go stores in Texas during September. It also follows the opening (and now closing) of a central facility in Garland in 2024 that was able to support up to 500 Salad and Gos within a 12-hour radius.

Between the two waves of store closures, Salad and Go is entering 2026 with half of the 146 stores it ended 2024 with. Here’s what we know about the Texas closures.

Why is Salad and Go closing half its stores?

According to Salad and Go’s new CEO, Mike Tattersfield, the closing of all Texas and Oklahoma operations is to strengthen the brand by moving its focus back to Arizona and Nevada markets.

“By consolidating our operations at our Phoenix area headquarters, we can focus on what matters most: food quality, menu innovation, guest experience and building for long-term growth,” said Tattersfield in a prepared statement.
