Yes, liquor stores will be open on Christmas Eve.
Both Spec’s Wine, Spirits & Finer Foods and Total Wine & More are open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
Are liquor stores open on New Year’s Day?
No, liquor stores will be closed on New Year’s Day.
Liquor stores are required by Texas law to close on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Whenever Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on a Sunday, stores must close the following Monday.
Most liquor stores, like Spec’s and Total Wine, will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2 at regular hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
