Texas A&M commit, Richland senior linebacker voted Defensive Player of the Week

More than 4,000 votes were cast for the latest dfwVarsity Defensive Player of the Week.

Richland senior linebacker DaShaun White, a Texas A&M commit, received 1,686 votes. He made 13 tackles with one for loss, two hurries, 1/2 sack and one pass break up in the Rebels’ 57-27 victory over Haltom. Richland improved to 3-0 this season.

Keller senior defensive end Jacob Nichter came in second with 1,000 votes after making 14 tackles, three for loss, in a 30-28 win over L.D. Bell.

White’s teammate senior end Lethaniel Bouie was third with 999 votes.
