Czechia’s FIFA World Cup team visits Fort Worth Stockyards after South Korea loss
As the FIFA World Cup takes over North Texas, the Fort Worth Stockyards is welcoming visitors from all over the world.
Some of those visitors include the Czechia national soccer team, which stopped by over the weekend. Czechia is staying in downtown Fort Worth during the tournament and practicing at the new Texas Health Mansfield Stadium.
After its opening tournament loss to South Korea on June 11, the Czechia team visited the Stockyards on June 13.
The visit came after the team accepted an invitation from the city to explore the historic district.
“The Czech team also visited a traditional rodeo. The Stockyards neighborhood is proud to refer to the local tradition of cowboyhood and the Wild West. This is where the first indoor rodeo in the world took place in 1918. Thank you for having us!” the Czechia team wrote on Instagram.

The Czechia team got a taste of a little bit of everything the Stockyards has to offer.
They walked the grounds, shopped for cowboy hats and even saw a rodeo inside Cowtown Coliseum.
The team also stopped by Joe T. Garcia’s for a meal.
