Visiting North Texas for the World Cup? You should try these Fort Worth restaurants
If you are in Fort Worth for the first time, you’ll soon realize there is an overwhelming amount of dining options.
The city has a sneakily good restaurant scene, but barbecue and Tex-Mex are the two cuisines Fort Worth does really well.
We put together a list of more than 20 restaurants worth trying. (We know it’s a lot, but we had to give you a wide array of options.)
Welcome to Fort Worth!

The Western restaurant serves steaks, chicken fried steak, chicken tortilla soup, smoked ribs, stuffed jalapeños and other Texas fare.
Barbecue
A pro tip for out-of-towners not familiar with Texas barbecue: Go early. Most barbecue joints are only open on select days due to the labor-intensive process of smoking meats. For the days restaurants are open, they will sell until they run out, which could be before their advertised closing time.
