North Texas under heat advisory again as temps may finally reach 100 degrees
North Texas is starting the week under a heat advisory as temperatures continue to flirt with triple digits.
The advisory is in place from noon Monday, July 28, until 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Several counties, including Tarrant and Dallas, are under the advisory.
High temperatures in the upper 90s to low 100s are expected Monday, along with heat index values up to 107 degrees. Similar conditions are in the mix Tuesday as highs will again be around triple digits.
The NWS recommends folks protect themselves from the heat by wearing lightweight, loose-fitting and light-colored clothing. Wearing hats can also help, in addition to applying sunscreen.
When will North Texas record its first 100 degree day?
