Koe Wetzel to host benefit concert for Texas Hill Country flood relief
Texas-born country singer Koe Wetzel is hosting a benefit concert in the Metroplex next month for those impacted by the Texas Hill Country floods.
Wetzel, who is from Pittsburg, is uniting several of his famous friends for the “Stronger Together” benefit on Aug. 4 at The Pavilion At Toyota Music Factory in Irving. Tickets for the concert are on sale now via Wetzel’s website.
All proceeds from the show will benefit the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County flood relief fund. There will also be an on-site silent auction to help raise additional funds.
“Texas is home – these floods hit our neighbors hard and they need our help,” Wetzel said in a news release. “Music has a way of bringing people together, and I’m grateful to my friends who immediately raised their hands to help when we called. This benefit concert is our way of standing with the people of Texas and doing whatever we can to make a difference as our great state rebuilds.”
In addition to Wetzel, here’s who is slated to perform at the benefit concert:
- Kolby Cooper
- Casey Donahew
- Ray Wylie and Lucas Hubbard
- Pecos Hurley of Pecos & The Rooftops
- Mike Ryan
- Shane Smith of Shane Smith & The Saints
- Dylan Wheeler
“Stronger Together” is sponsored by Raising Cane’s, Outlaw Beer and Rock & Roll Denim.
Wetzel is the latest Texas singer to host a benefit concert for flood relief.
San Antonio-born Pat Green hosted a livestream concert at Globe Life Field in Arlington in mid-July that raised more than $1 million and was viewed by more than 300,000 people.
Houston-born Robert Earl Keen is hosting a fundraiser on Aug. 28 in New Braunfels with Tyler Childers, Miranda Lambert, Cross Canadian Ragweed and more.
