Dallas’ Crescent Club made latest ‘Landman’ episode. See all the Texas references
The fifth episode of Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” aired Sunday, Dec. 8, and contained a few references to North Texas.
“Landman” stars Billy Bob Thornton and is described as a “modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs.” The Paramount+ series premiered Nov. 17 and airs new episodes weekly on Sundays.
Since “Landman” was filmed in the Lone Star State and is set in West Texas and Fort Worth, viewers can expect in-house references in the series.
Episode one included mentions of Fort Worth’s Petroleum Club, while episode two referenced TCU and the Hotel Drover. Episode three contains scenes filmed at Fort Worth’s River Crest Country Club, and episode four shot scenes at Sundance Square Plaza.
Here’s a look at all the Texas and Fort Worth references in the fifth episode, “Where Is Home.”
The Crescent Club
Around 11 minutes in, Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) attends a breakfast with other oil tycoons.
The interior seems to match that of The Crescent Club in Dallas.
Located on the 17th floor of 200 Crescent Court, the locale is a private dining club with a bar and main dining room.
North Fort Worth house
Around 37 minutes in, Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) returns to his Midland house for a family dinner.
Tommy’s house has been a fixture on the show this season. While set in Midland, the house is actually in Fort Worth at 12035 Vista Ranch Way.
The 4,639 square-foot off-market house has an estimated value of $918,300, according to Zillow.
