River Crest Country Club made latest ‘Landman’ episode. See all the Fort Worth references
The third episode of Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” aired Sunday, Nov. 24, and contained a few references to Fort Worth.
“Landman” stars Billy Bob Thornton and is described as a “modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs.” The Paramount+ series premiered Nov. 17 and airs new episodes weekly on Sundays.
Since “Landman” was filmed in the Lone Star State and is set in West Texas and Fort Worth, viewers can expect in-house references in the series. Episode one included mentions of Fort Worth’s Meacham International Airport and the Petroleum Club, while episode two referenced TCU and the Hotel Drover.
Here’s a look at all the Texas and Fort Worth references in the third episode, “Hell Has a Front Yard.”
Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport
The episode kicks off with Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) picking up his ex-wife Angela (Ali Larter) from the Aero Midland Airport.
The airport has been seen a few times throughout the series thus far and appears to be the Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, which is located in north Fort Worth.
“Landman” filmed at both the Alliance Airport and Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, according to the Fort Worth Film Commission.
River Crest Country Club
Around three minutes in, Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) is seen playing a round of golf at Fort Worth’s River Crest Country Club.
The club is one of the oldest in Fort Worth, with roots tracing back to the 1910s. River Crest Country Club is located at 1501 Western Ave.
Hilton Fort Worth
Around 16 minutes in, Tommy Norris (Thornton) picks up Rebecca Falcone (Kayla Wallace) from her Midland hotel.
There’s a quick shot of the outside of the hotel that looks like it was filmed at the Hilton Fort Worth at 815 Main St.
“Landman” airs new episodes weekly on Sundays on Paramount+.
