This new fine-dining restaurant will open soon in west Fort Worth

Whispers of The Mont have been happening for over a year now, but the time has finally come where the restaurant will be open for the public.

The Mont will hold its grand opening on Thursday, Aug. 7 at 4729 Saint Amand Circle in west Fort Worth. However, you can make reservations now for dinners on Aug. 5 and 6. There is still availability for the grand opening dinner as well.

“We wanted to build a place where people can connect over beautifully crafted food and timeless atmosphere,” The Mont Co-Owner Jeff Payne wrote in a news release. “Fort Worth has a strong culinary identity, and we’re excited to add something special that celebrates seasonality, quality, and creativity.”

The new fancy restaurant is from the same brains behind Cousins Barbecue: Payne and his business partner, Jason Cross.

Chef Michael Duff brings his 15 years of experience to the carefully crafted menu. He also has worked as executive chef at another upscale seafood restaurant, Eddy V’s in the West 7th Entertainment District.

Here’s a sneak peak into the menu and more about the new snazzy joint.

What will be on the menu at The Mont?

The Mont menu is curated by Chef Duff and culinary director Chef Michael Arlt, who also worked as Executive Chef for Fort Worth’s The Beast and Company before its closing in 2023. The Beast and Company was another fine-dining restaurant on Magnolia that featured global dishes.

“This menu is a love letter to timeless cuisine,” Cross wrote in the news release. “We’re taking familiar flavors and elevating them with thoughtful technique and seasonal produce. Expect handmade pastas, fresh seafood, and expertly grilled meats—with a few surprises along the way.”

Atmosphere at The Mont

The Mont is located just outside the west Fort Worth Montserrat neighborhood, a luxurious 192-home community.

The Mont seeks to blend both the elevated vibe of the neighborhood with the culture of Fort Worth.

Fort Worth design firm Maven has curated a sophisticated, 1960’s-meets-modern aesthetic to the new digs.

The 7,400 square foot space features moody lighting, dark wood and mahogany tones with velvet green and leather seating. Even down to the details of the plates and utensils, the whole restaurant matches the mid-20th century modern feel.
