After a stormy weekend in North Texas, hot and dry conditions return
Most of the Metroplex woke up early in the morning Monday, Aug. 4 to thunderstorms and strong winds.
Luckily, the threat for strong gusty winds, localized flooding and frequent lightning is expected to pass by noon Monday, according to the Fort Worth National Weather Service.
As of 7 a.m., the NWS said the storms have moved south of the I-20 corridor and are now affecting Central Texas.
Fort Worth can expect precipitation-free conditions for the rest of the day and temperatures in the 80s and 90s thanks to a remnant cloud cover from the storms.
For those who would like to get outside, Monday evening weather will be cooler, with a low of 74 with a 5 mph breeze.
“Seasonably hot and mostly dry weather resumes by Tuesday,” according to the NWS forecasters’ discussion. This gives a good outlook to a mostly hot and sunny remainder of the week.
