Kroger is offering a one-day-only discount for senior shoppers who are 55 years old or older.
According to a Kroger statement and seen in the store’s weekly ad, the deal will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at all Kroger locations.
To qualify, shoppers must be the age requirement and a member of the Kroger rewards program. To sign up, customers can do so on Kroger’s website or in store for free.
When checking out, seniors will receive a 5 percent discount on their total basket price of food and household items. The offer is only available for in-store purchases. Kroger will allow shoppers to purchase their items with food and OTC cards.
Customers can find their local Kroger and store hours by visiting Kroger’s store locator on their website.
The nationwide grocer offers the senior shopping day on limited days. In the past, Kroger had a full senior discount program, but it was discontinued between 2017 and 2024.
Anyone of any age can also get Kroger discounts by being a member and checking the store’s weekly ad.
Albertsons, who is undergoing a merger with Kroger, offers 10 percent off senior discounts for members every first Wednesday of the month. To double check, customers can call their local Albertsons, as policy may change per location.
