Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff to close Fort Worth streets for filming

Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” spinoff “The Madison” will film scenes in Fort Worth this week.

“The Madison” has been described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.” While unclear how it connects to “Yellowstone,” “The Madison” will star Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams and Matthew Fox.

After filming scenes in Fort Worth in mid-November, “The Madison” returns to Cowtown on Monday.

Monday’s filming will take place in downtown on Fifth Street between Main and Houston streets, according to Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.

That section of road and its sidewalks will be closed from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Fort Worth police will be on site to help manage traffic.

Both the AC Hotel and The Sinclair hotel are located on that stretch of Fifth Street in downtown Fort Worth. Downtown business will remain open during filming, according to Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.

“The Madison” will also film interior scenes in Fort Worth on Thursday and Friday.

It’s unclear where filming will take place later in the week, but the scenes will feature a pianist, according to Legacy Casting. The company released a casting notice for a classically trained pianist, who will be required to play songs on camera.

No release date has been announced for “The Madison,” but it will likely air sometime in 2025.
