Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ prequel to premiere in 2025. When will it debut?
Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” prequel series will premiere its second season in 2025.
The series 1923 stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as an early generation of the Dutton family as they fight to keep their Montana ranch. The first season aired on Paramount+ in late 2022, and the second season is set to premiere on the streamer on Feb. 23, 2025.
Paramount released a synopsis of what fans can expect in season two:
“A cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.”
Will “1923” be filmed in Texas?
The first season of “1923” was filmed in Montana, South Africa, Kenya and Malta. For season two, the show came to Texas.
Over the summer and fall months, “1923” filmed scenes in Austin, Bartlett, Lockhart and San Antonio. The series also returned to Montana to film scenes.
“1923” also stars Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton and Jennifer Carpenter.
Ahead of season two next year, Paramount Network will air the first season of “1923” beginning on Sunday, Dec. 8, immediately following new episodes of “Yellowstone”:
- Dec. 8- Episode 1
- Dec. 15- Episode 2
- Dec. 22- Episodes 3-4
- Dec. 29- Episodes 5-6
- Jan. 5, 2025- Episodes 7-8
“1923” season two premieres on Feb. 23, 2025.
