Michelle Pfeiffer officially cast in ‘Yellowstone’ spin-off series. Here’s what it’s about
The main cast for the “Yellowstone” spin-off series — “The Madison” — has been set.
Earlier this month, Michelle Pfeiffer and Patrick J. Adams were rumored to star in the series, and this week, their casting was finally confirmed. Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman and Amiah Miller were also cast in “The Madison.”
The series counts “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan as an executive producer, along with his company Bosque Ranch Productions.
While it’s unclear how “The Madison” will be connected to “Yellowstone,” the logline has been revealed for the new series:
“’The Madison’ is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”
Pfeiffer will play the mother of two daughters, portrayed by Chapman and Garrett, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Chapman’s character is described as a self-centered woman who indulges in an affluent New York lifestyle, thanks to her parents and investment banker husband (Adams). Garrett stars as the other daughter, who is a recently divorced mother of two, with Miller playing her eldest daughter.
Earlier rumors about “The Madison” mentioned that Kurt Russell was also part of the cast, but the show’s announcement this week did not mention the “Thing” actor.
“The Madison” is the latest series from North Texas native Sheridan, who has a few shows returning with new episodes this fall.
First up is the second season of “Tulsa King,” premiering Sept. 15 on Paramount+. Next up is the final episodes of “Yellowstone,” premiering Nov. 10 on the Paramount Network.
Lastly, “Landman” makes its series debut on Nov. 17 via Paramount+. The Billy Bob Thornton-fronted series was filmed in and around Fort Worth earlier this year.
