‘Landman’ season 2 filming is moving from Fort Worth to Oklahoma. Here’s why
Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” is heading north to film season 2 scenes in Oklahoma.
The Paramount+ series has been filming here since late March, including on TCU campus and in downtown Fort Worth. In April, the “Landman” production team traveled up to Jacksboro to shoot funeral scenes. The show has also spent production time in Midland-Odessa.
Texas-based Legacy Casting recently posted a few casting calls looking for Texas residents who can work in Durant, Oklahoma, next week. The city of nearly 21,000 residents is about 120 miles northeast of Fort Worth.
Here’s a look at what roles are open and what scenes “Landman” will film in the Sooner State.
‘Landman’ to film in Oklahoma in July
Legacy is looking for someone in his mid-40s to play an “ogling man.”
The actor would work in a scene where he sees several of the show’s female cast members and “stares at them creepily/ogling,” according to the casting notice. The pay is $110 for 10 hours of work on July 8. Apply here.
Another notice is looking for people to appear as casino-goers.
The pay is $110 for 10 hours of work on July 8. Legacy said there will be no travel reimbursement, as the preference is to book Texas residents who live close to the Oklahoma border. Apply here.
Finally, the last casting notice is for casino goers with vehicles.
Legacy is looking for people who can work in a scene with their vehicles, specifically any color other than red or white. The pay is $110 for 10 hours of work on July 8. Apply here.
While the casting notices do not specify a casino for filming in Durant, there is a Choctaw Casino & Resort location in the city.
