‘Landman’ will close these Fort Worth streets for season 2 filming this week

Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” is returning to downtown Fort Worth this week to shoot scenes for season 2.

The Paramount+ series is filming around downtown from Tuesday through Thursday, according to Downtown Fort Worth Inc. Several streets will be closed during production.

Fort Worth police will be on scene to facilitate traffic, and downtown businesses will remain open during filming. “Landman” already filmed in downtown a few times this year in early April and early May.

Here’s a look at which streets will be closed this week.

‘Landman’ street closures this week

Tuesday

Fifth Street between Lamar Street and Throckmorton Street will be closed all day.

Wednesday

Filming will take place from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 640 Taylor St.

Taylor Street between West Fifth Street and West Sixth Street will be closed. The south lane heading eastbound of West Fifth Street from Throckmorton Street to Lamar Street will be closed, along with north lane heading westbound of West Sixth Street from Throckmorton Street to Lamar Street.

No street parking will be permitted in the following areas:

  • West Fifth Street between Taylor Street and Throckmorton Street on both the north and south sides of the street
  • West Fifth Street between Lamar Street and Taylor Street, south side only
  • Lamar Street between Fifth Street and Sixth Street, east side only
  • Throckmorton Street between Fifth Street and Sixth Street, west side only

Thursday

Filming will take place from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday at the Worthington Hotel (200 Main St.) and 61 Osteria (500 W. 7th St.).

West First Street between Main Street and Houston Street will be closed, along with Burnett Street between West Sixth Street and West Seventh Street.

The west lane heading southbound on Main Street between West First Street and West Second Street will be closed. In addition, the south lane heading westbound on West Sixth Street from Lamar Street to Cherry Street will be closed as well.

No street parking will be permitted in the following areas:

  • East side of Main Street between West First Street and West Second Street
  • South side of West Second Street between Main and Houston Street
  • North and south sides of West Second Street between Houston Street and Throckmorton Street
  • East side of Houston Street between West Weatherford Street and West First Street
  • East side of Houston Street between West First Street and West Second Street
  • East side of Lamar Street between West Sixth Street and West Seventh Street
  • East side of Lamar Street between West Fifth Street and West Sixth Street
  • South side of West Seventh Street from Cherry Street to Lamar Street

“Landman” is described as a “modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.”

The Billy Bob Thornton-led series premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024 and wrapped its 10-episode first season on Jan. 12. The drama is co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, who created the “Boomtown” Texas Monthly podcast that the show is based on.

“Landman” season 1 starred Thornton, Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Paulina Chávez, Jacob Lofland, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Colm Feore and Mark Collie. Michael Peña, Andy Garcia and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared in guest roles.

All episodes of “Landman” season 1 are streaming on Paramount+.
