‘Landman’ will close streets in downtown Fort Worth again for season 2 filming
Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” is returning to downtown Fort Worth to shoot season 2 scenes later this week.
The production is filming driving scenes on Taylor and West Sixth streets on May 1-2, according to Downtown Fort Worth Inc. Downtown businesses will remain open during filming and Fort Worth police will be on-site to facilitate traffic.
This is the Paramount+ show’s second time filming in downtown in only a few weeks. The production filmed interior scenes inside 777 Taylor St. on April 8.
Here’s a look at which streets will be closed later this week.
‘Landman’ street closures this week
Thursday, May 1
- 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.- Taylor Street between West Fifth and West Sixth streets
- 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.- Taylor Street between West Sixth and West Seventh streets
- 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.- West Sixth Street between Throckmorton and Lamar streets
There are a few other important notes from Downtown Fort Worth Inc. in regards to vehicles exiting nearby garages.
- Fort Worth Club garage: Turn right onto West Sixth Street and left onto Throckmorton Street.
- Frost Tower basement and electric building garages: Exit westbound as usual. For garage entry during closures, turn onto West Sixth Street at Lamar Street.
Friday, May 2
- 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.- Taylor Street between West Fifth and West Sixth streets

Where is ‘Landman’ filming taking place?
“Landman” filming will take place on Taylor and West Sixth streets.
The production vehicle will drive south on Taylor Street, turn right on West Sixth Street and turn right into a parking garage, according to Downtown Fort Worth Inc. The parking garage is located inside Frost Tower at 640 Taylor St.
There are no details on who will be in the driving scene or what episode this sequence will be in.

“Landman” is described as a “modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.”
The Billy Bob Thornton-led series premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024 and wrapped its 10-episode first season on Jan. 12. The drama is co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, who created the “Boomtown” Texas Monthly podcast that the show is based on.
“Landman” season 1 starred Thornton, Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Paulina Chávez, Jacob Lofland, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Colm Feore and Mark Collie. Michael Peña, Andy Garcia and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared in guest roles.
