‘Landman’ season 2 is casting extras for Fort Worth filming. Here’s how to apply
Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” is looking to cast extras as season 2 continues to film in and around Fort Worth.
As the series continues production, Texas-based Legacy Casting posted a few casting notices for “Landman” season 2 on MyCastingFile, a website used to cast extras and background actors.
“Landman” kicked off production in Fort Worth on TCU’s campus in late March. The series also spent time filming in downtown, the Cultural District and west Fort Worth near JD’s Hamburgers.

Nursing home residents
- Filming info: April 28 in Fort Worth
- Pay: $110 for 10 hours
- Description: “We need some elderly folks to be residents in a nursing home scene.”

- Filming info: April 28 in Jacksboro
- Pay: $200 for 12 hours
- Description: Legacy is looking for folks ages 75 and up for a funeral scene. Those selected will need to come in for a costume fitting.

- Description: “Landman” is filming a scene at a hospital and needs extras to portray visitors, nurses and doctors.

- Description: Legacy is looking for “office types” dressed in business suits to be pedestrians outside a law office set in Fort Worth. Those selected will need to do a costume fitting.

“Landman” is described as a “modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.”
The Billy Bob Thornton-led series premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024 and wrapped its 10-episode first season on Jan. 12. The drama is co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, who created the “Boomtown” Texas Monthly podcast that the show is based on.
The first season starred Thornton, Demi Moore, Paulina Chávez, Jacob Lofland, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Colm Feore, Mark Collie and Jon Hamm. Michael Peña, Andy Garcia and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared in guest roles.
