‘Landman’ is looking to cast TCU students for Fort Worth filming. Here’s how to apply
Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” is looking to cast Texas Christian University students for scenes filming in Fort Worth later this month.
The Billy Bob Thornton-led series premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024 and wrapped its 10-episode first season on Jan. 12. The drama is co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, who created the “Boomtown” Texas Monthly podcast that the show is based on.
Texas-based Legacy Casting posted a couple casting notices for “Landman” season 2 on MyCastingFile, a website used to cast extras and background actors.
How to be cast in ‘Landman’
One casting notice is for TCU students (ages 18-23) for a scene filming on campus.
Ideally, Legacy said they’re wanting extras to bring their own TCU-colored clothing and backpacks. Filming is set for March 27 and pays $110 for 10 hours of work.
Another casting notice is for “college student athlete wearing sweatpants.”
Legacy is looking for a man (ages 18-23) with an athletic build for the role, which includes being referenced on camera about their gray sweatpants. A costume fitting is required before the March 27 filming and pays $300 for 12 hours of work.
Continuing with the college theme, Legacy is also looking for extras to portray administrators and professors.
That casting notice says actors with their own professional/business clothing should apply for the scene. Filming is on March 27 and pays $110 for 10 hours of work.
Finally, Legacy is looking to cast “women of opportunity.”
The scene will feature “beautiful young ladies” at an event trying to snag a billionaire husband. A costume fitting will be required prior to the April 7 filming.
Women (ages 22-30) are encouraged to apply for the role that pays $250 for 12 hours of work.
