Dallas Cowboys kick returner Ryan Switzer named to all-rookie team
Dallas Cowboys kick returner Ryan Switzer was selected to the 2017 All-Rookie team, chosen in voting conducted by the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA).
Switzer, a fourth-round draft pick out of North Carolina, averaged 8.8 yards on punt returns. He had an 83-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Washington Redskins.
Switzer also had six catches for 41 yards, four rushes for 5 yards and averaged 25 yards on kickoff returns with a long of 61.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, who led the NFL in rushing yards, was selected rookie of the year and co-offensive rookie of the year.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, who led all rookies with 14 total touchdowns, tied with Hunt for co-offensive rookie of the year. It is the first tie for offensive rookie of the year honors since 1988 when running backs John Stephens of New England and Ickey Woods of Cincinnati were awarded.
New Orleans cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who led all rookies with five interceptions, was selected as the defensive rookie of the year.
