Dallas Cowboys legend Drew Pearson opened a new restaurant at DFW Airport and he’s already burning things.

The Cowboys’ “Original 88” took a lighthearted shot at receiver Dez Bryant during the grand opening of Drew Pearson’s Sports 88 on Monday by Gate 5 in Terminal E.

Instead of a ribbon-cutting, Pearson caught a pass. Before making the catch, Pearson said “We know one thing, the original 88 won’t drop it.”

WBPA/820 AM reporter Scott Sidway posted video of the moment on Twitter.

On Tuesday, Pearson denied he was taking a shot at Bryant.

“Not a shot at Dez! I use that line all the time! Too much respect for Dez and #Cowboys,” Pearson tweeted in response to Sidway’s video post.

The Dallas Cowboys legends were at The Star in Frisco on Wednesday to help unveil plans for a Ring of Honor walkway at the Cowboys new headquarters.
