Fort Worth to see break in storms this weekend before rain returns again
After an active week, at least one more round of storms will impact North Texas over the weekend.
Storms are expected to stay to the north and south of the Metroplex on Friday, April 25, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. These storms will impact the Red River and Lake Texoma areas to the north, and Central Texas to the south.
A cluster of storms will arrive in the Metroplex in the morning hours on Saturday, April 26. These storms are expected to be on a weakening trend, but the NWS said it can not rule out isolated damaging winds.
Some storms may linger into Saturday evening, but by Sunday, April 27, conditions are expected to be sunny and rain-free.
Storms return next week
After a break Sunday, storm chances return next week from Monday, April 28, through Wednesday, April 30.
There’s threat for strong to severe storms each day, especially on Tuesday, April 29, according to the NWS. As of Friday, specific weather threats and impact areas are uncertain at this time.
The NWS will continue monitoring next week’s activity and have a closer outlook in the days to come.
