Roll or stroll at Open Streets in Fort Worth this weekend. Here’s what to know
Cyclists, skateboarders, roller skaters and scooter riders, are all free to shred down West Magnolia Avenue this weekend.
Open Streets, hosted by local nonprofit Near Southside Inc., will be from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26. The annual event, founded in 2011, returned last year for the first time since the pandemic.
The six-hour outdoor event closes West Magnolia Avenue to cars and opens it up to the community for fun, food and fresh air. The roadway will have a “stroll zone” full of family-friendly activities and a “roll zone” for non-motorized rollers.
“If you miss it, it’ll be your own asphalt,” the Open Streets website reads.
