The Texas Supreme Court is the state’s highest court, or court of last resort, for civil matters in the state. It is made up of nine justices who serve in six-year terms, and three of the court’s seats are up for election this cycle.
Republican John Devine, the incumbent, is facing a challenge from Harris County Democrat Christine Weems.
