“The Chosen” is looking to cast extras for season 6 filming in North Texas next week.

The Biblical drama series, based on the life of Jesus, is currently shooting its sixth season in Midlothian. Since season 3, the series has primarily filmed at Camp Hoblitzelle, which is about 35 miles southeast of Fort Worth.

Texas-based Brock Allen Casting recently put out a couple casting calls for a variety of roles, including a photo double for the actress that plays Young Mother Mary on the show.

‘The Chosen’ seeking extras

Brock Allen is looking for a photo double for actress Sara Anne, who plays Young Mary.

The double must have a slim build and be between 5 feet, 2 inches and 5 feet, 4 inches tall, according to the casting agency. The double must also match Anne’s hair and skin tone.

Filming will take place on Aug. 14 and the pay rate is $200 for 12 hours. To apply, email thechosenbacasting@gmail.com with the subject line “female photo double” and the following information:

  • Full name
  • Contact number
  • Availability for shoot dates
  • City of residence
  • Height and weight
  • Shirt, pant and shoe sizes
  • Two recent color photos — one headshot and one full length

Brock Allen is also looking for male actors with beards and olive skin to portray “rabble members” in scenes filming on Aug. 11 and 12.

“The Chosen” is described as “a historical drama based on the life of Jesus and those who knew him.”

The series has released five of its planned seven seasons thus far. “The Chosen” season 5 covered Holy Week and the Last Supper, while season six covers the Crucifixion and seven will be about the Resurrection.

In March, the show hosted its season 5 premiere in Red Oak, about 40 miles southeast of Fort Worth.

All episodes of “The Chosen” seasons 1-5 are streaming on Prime Video.
