Queso has to be one of the most popular menu items here in Texas. It belongs in almost every restaurant considering that you can shovel it with chips, douse your tacos, or even layer it on some barbecue.

But where can you find the best queso in Fort Worth? We want to know what you think.

Larger chains like Torchy’s Tacos or Chipotle don’t count. We want to hear about local Fort Worth businesses with the best cheesy goodness.

We just found out that Curly’s Custard sells the best hot dog in Fort Worth after 5 rounds of voting and hundreds of votes. We are going to conduct a similar survey to find the best queso.

Here’s how it will work.

Fill out the nomination form below with your top pick. You have from today, July 2 until July 9 at 2 p.m. If you have more than one favorite, you can refresh the page and nominate another spot.

Then, next week, we will condense all submissions into the top 20 nominations for voting. Here’s when voting will take place.

  • The first round of voting will be across the top 20 picks. It will be live from Wednesday, July 9 at 2 p.m. until Wednesday, July 16 at 2 p.m.

  • The second round will be voting on the top 10 picks. This round will be live from July 16 at 2 p.m. until July 23 at 2 p.m.

  • The third round (semi-finals) will be voting on the final five picks. This round will be live from July 23 at 2 p.m. until July 30.

  • Then for the finale on July 30, the winner will be announced at 2 p.m.
