The State Fair of Texas is known for its impressive food creations, and it also has many places to grab a drink.
The 137th running of the fair will be held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 22. The 24 consecutive days of fun are all held at Fair Park in Dallas at 3809 Grand Ave.
Note that guests cannot bring their own alcoholic beverages to the fairgrounds. Coolers will be checked at the gates.
The fair has several places over the fairgrounds where patrons can sip on beer, wine and cocktails. Here’s what we know:
Are there bars located inside the State Fair of Texas?
Yes, there are bars and other places to buy alcoholic beverages in the fair. Here’s a few places where you can grab a drink:
- State Fair Wine and Beer Garden: Located on Nimitz Drive
- Beer Haven: Located near the Ferris wheel
- Bluebonnet Roadhouse: Located near the Chevrolet Main Stage
- Fernie’s Skyway Porch: Located near the Texas Skyway and Big Tex
- Magnolia Beer Garden: Located near the courtyard of the Magnolia Lounge
- Trio on the Green: Located under a group of shade trees outside the coliseum
- Beer Barn: Located near the coliseum
- Texas Ice House: Located on the Midway
