The State Fair of Texas is a celebration of Lone Star State culture, which means plenty of cowboy hats and boots.
The 137th running of the fair will be held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 22. The 24 consecutive days of fun are all held at Fair Park in Dallas at 3809 Grand Ave.
There’s quite a bit of things people can wear to the fair and some that will give you the boot. Here’s what to know:
What should I wear to the State Fair of Texas?
Family friendly attire and weather appropriate clothes are recommended by the fair.
There’s plenty to do and see at the fair, so comfortable walking shoes are in order. Checking the weather before heading to the fairgrounds is also a good idea, with Texas weather sometimes having a mind its own.
What should I not wear to the State Fair of Texas?
The items below may result in refusal of admittance, according to the fair:
- Clothing with obscene language and graphics.
- Clothing that exposes excessive portions of skin that may be viewed as inappropriate in a family environment.
