Kroger is offering another one-day-only senior discount this week in Texas

Kroger shoppers who are 55 years and older will get a 5% percent discount on their groceries at any Kroger store on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

This senior shopping special will be for one day only, according to a press release. Shoppers are eligible just by showing their I.D. or Kroger loyalty card.

Kroger is opening two new Marketplace stores in Fort Worth– one off Bonds Ranch Road at U.S. 287 and another in the Sendera Ranch community in far north Fort Worth.

Kroger’s Marketplace stores are larger than its traditional locations ranging between 100,000 and 113,000 square feet. Marketplace stores also sell not just groceries but a variety of retail items like clothing and electronics to create a “one-stop shopping” experience.

The location at 113 E. Bonds Ranch Road will be open later this fall. Instead of a Starbucks kiosk, the store will feature a local artisan coffee shop, Pax & Beneficia. It will also have a Kroger gas station.

The location at the northeast corner of Rancho Canyon Way and Sendera Ranch Boulevard is slated to open sometime in 2026.
