Just south of Fort Worth, a favorite homestyle breakfast spot for decades

Each week, we’re sharing Fort Worth-area restaurant recommendations that come from our very own Star-Telegram readers.

These aren’t necessarily well-known establishments. They are neighborhood “hidden gems,” family-run eateries that have built a loyal following among locals who’ve discovered them in Fort Worth or our suburbs.

Do you have a restaurant recommendation? Use the form at the bottom of this page (or click here) to send it our way. We especially love hearing what you suggest ordering on the menu.

Our Place Restaurant ($-$), along I-35 in Burleson

  • Where is this restaurant? 950 N. Burleson Blvd., near Lowes in Burleson. Three other locations are in Cleburne, Crowley and Mansfield.

Home cooking and friendly service. Wife likes the chicken fried steak but I like the special with fluffy scrambled eggs and delicious pancakes.

  • What else to know: In 1986, Chris and Arif “Otto” Arslanovski opened the original Our Place on Exchange Street and Texas 174. After a decade of running the family business, they sold the restaurant due to illness. Years later, the family brought Our Place back to life, first in Old Town Burleson, then Mansfield and the current location on Burleson Boulevard. Our Place serves homestyle breakfast, lunch and fresh baked pies. See the menu.
