'Landman’ cast shares what they know about season 3 of Fort Worth-filmed show
When “Landman” returns to Fort Worth later this summer, only then will the cast find out what’s in store for their characters.
The Paramount+ series, co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, returned for its 10-episode second season in November 2025 and aired weekly until mid-January. The show primarily filmed in and around Cowtown over its first two seasons.
Series star Billy Bob Thornton previously said that filming on the third go-around will begin in late August.
In a recent interview with Deadline, Thornton and a few of his “Landman” cohorts revealed what they know (and don’t know) about season 3. Here’s what they said.
‘Landman’ cast on what’s in store for season 3
Sheridan notoriously keeps things close to the vest.
“The truth is we don’t really know anything until we get there,” Thornton said.
Mark Collie, who plays Sheriff Walt Joeberg, joked that there would be a target on his back if he divulged any details.
“Well, if I told you today what was going to happen in season 3, I’d probably be shot in episode 2,” Collie said.
Paulina Chávez, who plays Ariana, praised the strong women on the show as she looks to the future.
“Our voices matter and our power matters,” Chávez said. “I’m so excited to see what season 3 has in store for us.”
James Jordan, who plays Dale, said he’s ready for more work.
“As long as people want to keep seeing us show up, we’ll show up,” Jordan said.
More on ‘Landman’
“Landman” is described as a “modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.”
“As oil rises from the earth, so do secrets – and Tommy Norris’s (Thornton) breaking point may be closer than he realizes. Facing mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller (Demi Moore), and the shadow of his kin, survival in West Texas isn’t noble – it’s brutal. And sooner or later something’s got to break,” the show’s second season synopsis reads.
In addition to the previously mentioned cast, “Landman” stars Sam Elliott, Demi Moore, Ali Larter, Andy Garcia, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace and Colm Feore.
Both seasons of “Landman” are streaming on Paramount+.
