Samuel L. Jackson recently visited a local restaurant known for its home cooking.
The 77-year-old actor has been filming his new show “Frisco King” in North Texas since late March. The Paramount+ series comes from Taylor Sheridan and is a spinoff of “Tulsa King.”
Jackson stopped by Madea’s Down Home Cooking (1019 W. Enon Ave.) in Everman over the weekend and took a photo with some of the restaurant’s staff.
“You never know who you might meet at Madea’s Down Home Cookin! Welcome Samuel L. Jackson,” the restaurant wrote in a Facebook post.

Madea’s has been serving home cooking since 2004.
The restaurant has welcomed a few big names over the years, including Rev. Jesse Jackson and Bishop T.D. Jakes in 2018, according to prior Facebook posts.
Madea’s serves a variety of Southern comfort food like fried chicken, country fried steak, smothered pork chops and more.

Jackson will be in the Metroplex filming “Frisco King” through July.
Production has taken place in Keller, Southlake and Fort Worth thus far, with additional filming set for Frisco, Plano, Dallas and Denton.
Jackson stars as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a hitman who crossed paths with Sylvester Stallone’s “Tulsa King” character Dwight Manfredi. Jackson appeared in the final two episodes of the show’s third season last year.
Stallone will also return in “Frisco King,” alongside new cast members Kai Caster, Asa Germann, Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann. No release date has been set for the series.
