New extended trailer for ‘Dutton Ranch’: Beth and Rip find violence in Texas
Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are looking for peace but find violence in the newly released extended trailer for the “Yellowstone” spinoff “Dutton Ranch.”
Last week, Paramount+ gave fans a few teasers to the new series. On Tuesday, the network dropped the official trailer video, just 10 days before the two-episode premiere on May 15.
The Taylor Sheridan show began filming in North Texas in August 2025 and wrapped in March. “Dutton Ranch” is set after the events of “Yellowstone” season 5, as Beth and Rip move to a fictional South Texas town called Rio Paloma.

‘Dutton Ranch’ trailer promises big action
The trailer opens with a familiar sight for “Yellowstone” fans, as Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) sit on their porch with a cup of coffee.
“I miss waking up to the mountains,” Rip says as he overlooks the flat Texas landscape. The trailer then cuts to another scene where Beth turns to Rip for reassurance on their move to the Lone Star State.
“This life here is going to work, isn’t it,” Beth says. “We’ll make it work,” Rip says back.
Willie Nelson’s 1968 tune “Beautiful Texas” is heard as ranch owner Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) asks Beth if she bought the Edwards Ranch. Without a beat, Beth says, “It’s the Dutton Ranch now.”
Veterinarian Everett McKinney (Ed Harris) asks Beth if she met Beulah, aka “Mrs. Rio Paloma herself.”
The trailer moves to another scene of Beulah telling Beth that her ranch is 190 years old and that she’s worked hard to protect it.
“Rip and Beth have secrets, and people with secrets can be useful, corruptible even,” Beulah tells Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), who appears to work for her.
The temperature heats up as Rip tells Zachariah (Marc Menchaca) and Azul Ramos (J.R. Villarreal) that if either of them want to walk, he won’t hold it against them. Both men say they’re in as they load several guns.
Things move quickly in the final 30 seconds of the trailer, as Rip shoots guns and throws someone against a wall. In the mix of the chaos, Beth and Rip’s adopted son Carter (Finn Little) pops up for a few seconds.
“You can’t chase peace, you got to live it,” Rip tells Beth. “Then peace will have to wait,” she says back to him.
The trailer ends with Rip throwing a body into what looks like an abandoned well, echoing the infamous “train station” that “Yellowstone” viewers know well.
