Country music singer Morgan Wade joins cast of Fort Worth-filmed ‘Dutton Ranch’
A country music singer is joining the cast of a new “Yellowstone” spinoff.
Deadline reported this week that Morgan Wade has been cast in a recurring role on “Dutton Ranch.” The Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler-starring series premieres May 15 on Paramount+.
Wade is set to play Carol, a bartender at the local watering hole in Rio Paloma, the fictional Texas town where the series takes place.
“Excited to finally share this,” Wade wrote on Instagram. “Proud to be part of ‘Dutton Ranch’ and grateful for the opportunity. Can’t wait for y’all to see.”
Morgan Wade joins ‘Dutton Ranch’
Wade, 31, has been performing since the late 2010s.
Her debut album “Reckless” released in 2021, and was followed up by “Psychopath” in 2023 and “Obsessed” in 2024. Her latest album, “The Party Is Over (recovered),” released last year.
In 2023, Wade was nominated for New Female Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Wade has 662,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
In addition to “Dutton Ranch,” Wade is also in the cast of the upcoming film “Daisy.”
The bull-riding drama comes from writer-director Nikhil Melnechuk and filmed scenes in Fort Worth back in 2024. In conversation with the Star-Telegram late last year, producer Tanner Beard said the film is still being tinkered on.

“Dutton Ranch” began filming in Ferris, Texas.
The series visited several cities for filming, including Boyd, Cleburne, Weatherford, Dallas, Rio Vista, Fort Worth and Mineral Wells. The show doubled Dallas for Chicago when it shot there.
Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are reprising their “Yellowstone” roles on the show as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, respectively. Finn Little is also back as Carter, the adopted son of Beth and Rip.
In addition to the previously mentioned cast, “Dutton Ranch” stars Ed Harris, Annette Bening, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind.
“Dutton Ranch” is created and executive produced by Chad Feehan. The series is also executive produced by Hauser, Reilly, Taylor Sheridan, John Linson, David C. Glasser, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox.
“Dutton Ranch” premieres May 15 on Paramount+ and the Paramount Network.
