See Sylvester Stallone, Samuel L. Jackson on set of Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Frisco King’
A new behind-the-scenes clip from the set of Taylor Sheridan’s “Frisco King” teases what’s to come for the Paramount+ series.
“Frisco King” began production in Fort Worth in late March. Previously titled “NOLA King,” the series was originally supposed to be set and made in New Orleans, but is now a North Texas production.
The eight-episode Paramount+ series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a hitman who crossed paths with Sylvester Stallone’s “Tulsa King” character Dwight Manfredi. Jackson appeared in the final two episodes of the show’s third season last year.
On Thursday, April 16, Stallone shared a clip of him and Jackson chatting about the new show while on the “Friso King” set in Atlanta.
“Sam, we’re here to kick off your new show, which is what?” a cigar smoking Stallone says to Jackson.
“’Frisco King,’” Jackson says back. “Am I a king yet? I’m working on it.”
Stallone, Jackson discuss ‘Frisco King’
Stallone’s video continues with the “Tulsa King” star saying that he and Jackson were between takes.
“We just did our first scene together, and it turned out fantasctic,” Stallone said. “It’s going to be a stellar show.”
“It’s always good to be back here,” Jackson said referencing Atlanta, where “Tulsa King” has been filming season 4 since November 2025.
Stallone closed the video by saying that Jackson is “spectacular” in “Frisco King” and for folks to check it out.
“We’re going to have fun,” Jackson said.
