See the new trailer for Beth & Rip series ‘Dutton Ranch,’ filmed in Fort Worth

New footage for the “Yellowstone” spinoff “Dutton Ranch” has been revealed just two weeks before its series premiere.

The Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler-led show began filming in North Texas in August 2025 and wrapped in March. The Paramount+ series is set after the events of “Yellowstone” season 5 as Beth and Rip move to South Texas.

Ahead of its May 15 release, a new 30-second trailer for “Dutton Ranch” was posted on the show’s social media accounts Thursday.

Check it out below and stick around for a trailer breakdown.

Editor’s note: Spoilers for “Yellowstone” season 5 below

The trailer opens with Beth (Kelly Reilly) saying she misses her father John Dutton, who was killed in the fifth season of “Yellowstone.”

Rip (Cole Hauser) chimes in and says they brought the best part of John with them to Texas. A cowboy hat and photograph of a young John, played by Josh Lucas, are seen right after.

Beth and Rip’s adopted son Carter (Finn Little) is greeted by Sheriff Wade (Josh Stewart), who said he heard the family recently moved to Texas from Montana. Ranch owner Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) and veterinarian Everett McKinney (Ed Harris) pop up next.

“Rio Paloma is a bit more complicated,” Jackson says while taking down a glass of brown liquor.

Rio Paloma is not only the fictional South Texas town Beth and Rip move to, but was also the working title of the show during production.

Things become more action-oriented about halfway through the trailer, as Beth tells Carter, “I need you ready for the hard parts, because they’re coming.” Guns are loaded, a brawl breaks out in a bar and Rip rides away from a fire on horseback.

“A legacy is a beautiful thing, but only if it survives,” Beth says as the trailer ends.
