‘The Chosen’ needs extras for North Texas filming. Here’s how much it pays

“The Chosen” continues casting extras for season 7 filming in North Texas.

The Biblical drama, based on the life of Jesus, has primarily filmed at Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian since season 3. In April, “The Chosen” announced a Nov. 15 premiere for its sixth season on Prime Video.

“The Chosen” began production on its seventh and final season last week.

Texas-based Brock Allen Casting recently posted a couple of notices for filming this month. Here’s what to know.

How to be cast in ‘The Chosen’ season 7

Brock Allen is looking for men to portray musicians.

The notice specifies that applicants must have musical experience. Filming will take place on May 11 and pays $200 for 12 hours of work.

To submit for the role, email the following details to Brock Allen at thechosenbacasting@gmail.com:

• Full name
• City of residence
• Contact number
• Height, weight and clothing size
• Two recent color photos (one selfie, one full body length) with a piece of paper that has the current date on it

Another notice is looking for men with olive to deep skin tones.

Filming will take place on May 11 and pays $100 for 10 hours of work. To apply, follow the same instructions mentioned above.

Finally, Brock Allen is looking for a female stand-in.

Stand-in actors take the place of the principal actor as the crew adjusts camera angles and lighting setups. The casting notice calls for a Caucasian woman with dark hair that’s 5 feet 9 inches.

Filming is set for Friday, May 8, and pays $200 for 10 hours of work. Follow the same instructions above to apply.

Season 5 followed Holy Week and the Last Supper, and season 6 will cover the Crucifixion and the final 24 hours of Jesus’ life before he is nailed to the cross. Season 7 will cover the Resurrection.

“The Chosen” season 7 premiere will have a theatrical release on March 31, 2028. It’s unclear when the rest of the season will release and how many episodes are in it.
