Fox 4 hires a Cleburne native and Texas A&M alum as its newest meteorologist
Fox 4 has added another North Texan to its meteorology team.
Cleburne native Josh Johns announced on social media this week that he’s joining the Dallas-based station. Johns is a 2015 graduate of Texas A&M University and previously worked for KXXV-TV in Waco.
He will be the station’s weekend evening meteorologist.
“I’ve always had the desire to forecast for my hometown, those I grew up with, and my family,” Johns wrote on Facebook.
Fox 4 retools staff
Johns is the second hire for the station’s meteorology team this year, after Mansfield native Berkeley Taylor joined last month.
Last year, Fox 4 saw four staffers depart.
Meteorologist Dylan Federico left in July for a news station in Miami. In early October, longtime Fox 4 meteorologist Evan Andrews retired after more than 25 years at Fox 4. Anchor Hanna Battah left in late October to co-anchor “World News Now” and “Good Morning America First Look” in New York. Meteorologist Julia Fife left the station in late December for a job at Newsmax.
In addition, meteorologist Kylie Capps recently switched from working weekends to appearing on the 4 p.m. weekday broadcast.
