Fox 4 anchor Hanna Battah is leaving the station after seven-and-a-half years.
Battah announced her departure via social media on Sunday, saying it’s “time for me to sign off.” Her last day at Fox 4 will be Thursday.
“I’m filled with gratitude for the adventures, stories, and everyone who supported me and tuned in throughout my time at KDFW,” Battah wrote.
Battah grew up in the Twin Cities area in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Missouri.
After college, Battah worked for KOMU-TV in Missouri for a few years and later moved to Bakersfield, Calif., to work at KBAK/KBFX. A couple of years there, and then Battah was off to North Texas.
Battah started at FOX 4 in June 2018 as a weekend morning anchor on the “Good Day” team, according to her Fox 4 profile. A few months later, she was a part of the weekday “Good Day” team.
Viewers can catch Battah anchor the “Good Day” newscasts from 4 to 6 a.m. daily, and later see her report for “Good Day” from 6 to 10 a.m.
As for what’s next, Battah said she can’t say much but hopes to let folks know soon.
“I can’t share next plans quite yet, but I’m hoping to be able to VERY soon,” Battah wrote in a comment on Facebook. “For now, I’m soaking in all the love and appreciation I have for the time I had at Fox 4.”
