Kayce Dutton is back in first ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff teaser. Here’s a look
Kayce Dutton is back on the small screen, not too long after “Yellowstone” ended.
Entertainment Weekly recently debuted a teaser for the new Kayce-led show called “Y: Marshals,” which will air on CBS early next year. The series will see Kayce return to his law enforcement roots after leaving the profession to be with his family in season 5.
“Ex-Navy SEAL Kayce Dutton leaves Yellowstone Ranch to join U.S. Marshals, using his cowboy and military skills to fight crime in Montana while dealing with family ties and the mental toll of law enforcement,” the show’s logline reads.

The teaser begins with an overhead shot of five U.S Marshals on horseback atop a hill looking down below.
Narration from Kayce quickly follows as the camera focuses on him. “I’m changing paths, trying to find a new beginning,” he says.
The teaser ends with Kayce chasing after two fleeing black SUVs.
In the season 5 finale, Kayce sold most his family ranch to Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) for a fraction of the price.
Kayce was able to keep East Camp and is last seen working cattle with his wife Monica (Kelsey Asbille) and son Tate (Brecken Merrill) on the property.
In addition to Grimes, “Y: Marshals” also stars Merrill, Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means and Brett Cullen. It’s unclear if Asbille will reprise her role on the new show.
“Y: Marshals” is just one of a few “Yellowstone” spinoff in the works.
The Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler-led “The Dutton Ranch” is currently filming in North Texas. The Michelle Pfeiffer-starring “The Madison” filmed season 1 in North Texas last year and will return for season 2 production this month.
“Y: Marshals” will premiere on CBS in 2026.
