Kurt Russell joins ‘The Madison’ as show readies to film season 2 in Fort Worth
“The Thing” star Kurt Russell has joined the cast of the new “Yellowstone” spinoff “The Madison.”
Deadline reported Thursday, Sept. 4 that the 74-year-old actor has been cast as a series regular in the show, which has been described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”
It’s unclear if Russell is in the currently unreleased first season that filmed in Montana and North Texas last fall, or in the upcoming second season, which is slated to film in Fort Worth this month.
While Paramount has yet to publicly announce “The Madison” season 2, 101 Studios CEO David Glasser confirmed to the Star-Telegram in mid-August that the show will go before cameras in September.
