See a new cast photo from the ‘Landman’ set in Fort Worth
“Landman” star Ali Larter shared a photo of her new season 2 co-star on social media over the weekend.
Larter, who plays Angela Norris, posted a photo of herself with Sam Elliott and Michelle Randolph, who plays Ainsley Norris in the Paramount+ series. Elliott is new to the “Landman” cast for season 2 and has been seen a few times around the Metroplex over the past month.
In the photo, Elliott is front and center with Larter and Randolph on either side of him. Larter captioned the photo, “Just three crows cackling.” See it below.

Sam Elliott in ‘Landman’ season 2
Not much is known about who Elliott is playing in “Landman” season 2, but one thing is for sure: His character will have the actor’s famous mustache.
“Landman” is a reunion for Elliott, Taylor Sheridan and Billy Bob Thornton. The trio worked on the “Yellowstone” prequel “1883,” which also filmed scenes in Fort Worth in 2021.
Elliott played Civil War veteran Shea Brennan in the 10-episode limited series, which was written entirely be Sheridan. Thornton appeared in one episode as Fort Worth marshal Jim Courtright.

“Landman” is described as a “modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.”
The Thornton-led series premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024 and wrapped its 10-episode first season on Jan. 12. The drama is co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, who created the “Boomtown” Texas Monthly podcast that the show is based on.
“Landman” season 1 starred Thornton, Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Paulina Chávez, Jacob Lofland, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Colm Feore and Mark Collie. Michael Peña, Andy Garcia and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared in guest roles.
