‘Landman’ to be honored with ‘Texas Made’ award for filming in Fort Worth
Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” will be awarded later this month for simply filming in Fort Worth.
Austin-based ATX TV Festival announced Thursday that it will award “Landman” the inaugural “Texas Made” award, presented with Media for Texas, for the series’ impact on the state. The award “celebrates individuals and productions with Texas ties who are creating professional opportunities for the creative community within the state,” according to the festival.
“Landman” stars Billy Bob Thornton and Jacob Lofland, and series co-creator Christian Wallace, will be on hand to accept the award on June 1.
After the award presentation, the “Landman” trio will stick around for a discussion about the Paramount+ show’s first season.
