Witten gets political, Switzer scores and Hitchens rocks. Your ex-Cowboys Week 3 recap
Another Cowboys loss has led to more fan criticism of owner Jerry Jones, head coach Jason Garrett and quarterback Dak Prescott.
In Week 3 of the NFL season, the Cowboys team fell to the Seahawks in Seattle, 20-13.
But the players who are no longer with the team also made noise on-and-off the field this past Sunday.
1. Dez Bryant, NFL Free Agent
Bryant live-tweeted during the first two games of the Cowboys’ season. But the only comment he made on Sunday was about the bow taken by Seahawks safety Earl Thomas following his second interception of the afternoon.
2. Ryan Switzer, wide receiver, Pittsburgh Steelers
Not too many people in Dallas shed tears when the receiver/return man was traded to the Raiders and then to the Steelers just before the start of the season. But Switzer did catch a touchdown pass from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger during his team’s 30-27 win over the Buccaneers on Monday night.
3. Dan Bailey, kicker, Minnesota Vikings
Bailey reportedly turned down more lucrative contract offers in order to sign with a team he believes can win the Super Bowl. But the kicker didn’t get to attempt any on Sunday when the Vikings lost to the Bills in Buffalo, 27-6.
4. Jason Witten, Analyst for ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Football’
We’re three games into the season and the reviews aren’t great regarding his abilities as a color analyst. And during ‘Monday Night Football’, he actually got political talking about the NFL’s new roughing the passer rules.
5. Anthony Hitchens, linebacker, Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs’ defense is still wretched. But through three games, Hitchens is tied for the fourth-most combined tackles in the NFL.
