The new favorite to be NFL’s top pick shouldn’t surprise you

That didn’t take long.

Kyler Murray, who was going to be playing baseball just a couple of months ago, is now the favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick in next month’s NFL draft.

Murray, who won the Heisman Trophy after a record-breaking season with the Oklahoma Sooners, announced his intentions to forgo a contract to play in the Oakland A’s organization in February.

But speculation on his height persisted, which had some experts suggesting he was too short to excel in the NFL. Things have changed, however, after Murray officially measured at just over 5-foot, 10-inches at the NFL Combine last month.

According to BetOnline.ag, Murray is going first in the draft on April 25. Ohio State quarterback is listed second with 3/2 odds. Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams is 12/1 and Kentucky quarterback Josh Allen is 16 to 1 to go first.
