FIFA World Cup

The FIFA World Cup trophy is in North Texas this month. Here’s how to see it

North Texas soccer fans have a chance to see the FIFA World Cup trophy before this summer’s games.

Arlington’s AT&T Stadium (which will be rebranded as Dallas Stadium during the tournament) will host nine matches — five in the group stage, which begins on June 14, and four in the knockout round, including a semifinal on July 14. In addition, Sweden and the Czech Republic will have base camps in Frisco and Mansfield, respectively.

FIFA and Coca-Cola are teaming up on the trophy tour, which is set for 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on April 25-26 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

The public event will give fans a chance to see the trophy in person.

There will also be access to interactive games and activations, along with music and special giveaways. A Coca-Cola sampling station will also be on-site.

Other Texas tour stops include Austin on April 28-29, San Antonio on April 30 and Houston on May 2-3.
