Top Fort Worth-area high school basketball player transferring to East Coast school
Grapevine Faith 2021 guard Tyler Lundblade announced on Sunday via Twitter that he will finish his final high school season at Greensboro Day School in North Carolina.
Lundblade had a career year at Faith this season with averages of 28.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game and made 112 3-pointers. He was named TAPPS District 1-5A MVP, 5A all-state and to the state all-tournament team after helping the Lions reach the 5A state tourney.
Lundblade also shot 48% from the field this season and was named Star-Telegram high school boys basketball player of the year. He shot 40% from downtown and 86% from the free-throw line.
In three years at Faith, Lundblade averaged 22.7 points per game.
He averaged 16.3 points and 4.2 rebounds as a freshman. He made 100 3-pointers and shot 41% from behind the arc.
Faith lost in the TAPPS 5A state semifinals to Frisco Legacy, 77-61. Lundblade had 24 points and five rebounds.
